Bangkok Sightseeing Tour

If you are looking for fun, adventure and wish to truly experience Bangkok, then you need to be on this odyssey, bonding with your new Camp Thailand friends and family!

This is the perfect way for you to kick-start your Camp Thailand experience and immerse yourself into and experience real Thai Culture.

The Bangkok Tour

Day 1: First Day of the Program Intake

Camp Thailand staff members will Meet  you at 2 p.m. at the official airport “Meeting Point” at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport (This is on the arrivals floor between exit doors 2 and 3). You will be transported to your hotel which is situated in the exciting Khao San Road area of Bangkok. You can freshen up, rest in your room and/or explore the sights for the next couple of hours. Our staff will be on hand to guide you.

6 p.m. We will assemble in the lobby area at leave as a group for an aperitiv cocktail at a local outdoor venue. Then we will take a short stroll to a “Tree House” restaurant which serves both Thai and Western food. Please note that the cost of your aperitiv, other drinks and meal are not included in the tour package price.


Day 2: 2nd Day of the Program Intake

10 a.m. Private Canal Tour in a Long Tail Boat

We will take a convoy of Tuk-Tuk’s to the Pier on the Chao Phrya river where we will take an hour to an hour and a half long, Private Canal Tour.


In the 19th century Bangkok was called the “Venice of the East”. All transportation was by canal. While a lot has changed since then, the network of canals to the west of the Chao Phraya remain. You will take a private tour with the rest of the group and experience traditional canal-side life and view a few attractions such as the Royal Barge Museum and a real life floating market along the way


11.30 a.m. Explore Wat Pho; Bangkok’s largest and oldest temple.

Wat Pho’s main attraction is its 150 foot long reclining Buddha. This is a typical Thai temple which has monks that reside here in simple dwellings. Wat Pho is known as the center for traditional medicine and it is home to Thailand’s most famous and number one school for massage.



1.00 p.m. We will then take a short stroll to Pak Khlong Market. This is Bangkok’s largest flower and vegetable market and it remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can enjoy deliciously refreshing, freshly pressed fruit juices and chilled young coconut water or hand-made coconut ice cream served directly from the coconut.


We will take the river ferry from Pak Khlong Market, passing China Town on the way to Saphan Taksin Pier where we will connect with the Bangkok Transit System (BTS) Sky Train.


2 p.m. If Day 2 falls on a Saturday or Sunday we will take the Sky Train to Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is the world’s biggest outdoor market. It is estimated that over half a million people visit the market every weekend. The market has over 15,000 stalls and over 400 food and drink stands. Chatuchak is a must-see, for the opportunity to purchase unique nic nacs and experience the pulse of Thai culture in the maze of stalls.


2 p.m. If Day 2 falls on a Saturday or Sunday we will take the Sky Train to MBK, a modern Thai shopping mall, MBK, which spans across six floors. You will be able to purchase any essentials such as adaptors or a cheap mobile phone and an international SIM card that you can insert into your phone and avoid paying international roaming charges. Now you can easily keep in touch with friends and family back home.


5 p.m. We will then take the BTS Sky Train to one of Bangkok’s best kept secrets, a “Secret Garden” where you can kick back and relax with your new friends in a private group seeing. Your set dinner is included along with one beverage. Please let us know in advance if you require a vegetarian meal.


8 p.m. Members of our staff will escort you back to your hotel. After you have had a chance to freshen up, we will head out and explore the neon electric, Bangkok nightlife. We will take in an outside “Watering Hole,” where cocktails are served in buckets and end up at a Bangkok night club.


Day 3: 3rd Day of the Program Intake

After a light breakfast, you will check out of your Bangkok accommodations and head to your respective Camp Thailand location, escorted by staff members of the Camp Thailand team. You will take a coach, train or VIP minivan depending on the size of your group and the location you are traveling to,



Day 4: 4th Day of the Program Intake

After settling into your Camp Thailand location accommodations and getting a good night’s sleep today you will get to experience a full day of activity, Thai Style! At each Camp Thailand location you will experience different activities today. If you are participating at Camp Buriram for example, here is the fun and adventure that is planned for you to experience today. You will spend the day at a lake in Surin and we will rent a thatched roof raft(s) for the group to enjoy. There is delicious, fresh fish and other Thai delicacies and refreshments for you to sample and watersports for you to enjoy.






What is included in the Bangkok Sightseeing Tour Package?

  1. All the activities and excursions listed above and associated entrance fees and transportation costs in and around Bangkok. (N.B. If you decide to not come back with our staff at 8 p.m. on Day 2 of the program you will have to pay for your own transportation back to the hotel. Food and drink costs are not included in the package.
  2. A Camp Thailand T- Shirt (You will also receive a Camp Thailand Polo Shirt for doing the Camp Thailand Program)

What is the cost of the Bangkok Sightseeing Tour Package?

There is no additional fee or cost to participate in the Camp Thailand Bangkok tour but you do need to confirm your intended participation in the tour at least 28 days preceding the commencement of your program intake.
